Located in Wujiaochang Business District of Shanghai, KIC is a comprehensive knowledge community integrating ‘live, work, learn, play’. It is jointly built by Shanghai Yangpu District People's Government and Shui On Land, with a total planned development area of nearly 1 million sq.m.. KIC consists of KIC Plaza, University Avenue, University Avenue · Next Stop, and Jiangwan Sports Center. Surrounded by more than 10 famous universities such as Fudan University, Tongji University, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics as well as over 100 research institutes, KIC is a public activity center and innovation service center for Yangpu Knowledge Innovation Zone to spur the interconnected development of university campus, public community and science park. After years of development, KIC has successfully facilitated the precinct’s evolution from "Industrial Yangpu" to "Knowledge Yangpu" and subsequently "Innovative Yangpu". It is today the most dynamic knowledge innovative community in Shanghai.
