SOCAM Disposes Shares of SOL to Shui On Group
SOCAM and SOL announced together on July 17 that SOCAM will sell HK$ 1.8 billion worth of SOL sale shares to its parent company Shui On Group.
SOCAM said that this disposal would enable it to liquidate of its investment in SOL, so that it can fully develop its core business and seize the other investment opportunities. On the other hand, it would allow Shui On Group to maintain and further consolidate its management of SOL, which would enhance the stability of management and operation of SOL. Furthermore, the majority of the deal profit would be used to repay the bank loan and reduce the corporate liability.
SOL declared that welcomed the investment decision of Shui On Group and were confident that they would bring long-term and ideal returns to their shareholders.
Shui On Land and French Artist Join Hands to Create Theme Sculptures of "Wuhan Tiandi"
On July 19, Wuhan Tiandi signed a contract with French artist Mr. Jean Louis Simeray for the design and making of the "Wuhan Tiandi" Theme Sculptures, bringing the romantic French culture into Wuhan Tiandi.
The French artist Jean Louis Simeray designed for Wuhan Tiandi a customized series of sculptures, among which are vivid and close-to-life themes of family, environmental protection, fashion, entertainment etc. Mr. Freddy Lee, project director of Wuhan Shui On Land Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. said, "We hope these sculptures will make our guests feel warm and relaxed once they enter the Wuhan Tiandi. At the same time, we try to make Wuhan Tiandi a new landmark of the city by combining Wuhan's traditional feature with international culture factors perfectly."
It is estimated that in October, city residents of Wuhan can appreciate Mr. Simeray's sculpture works at the first phase of Wuhan Tiandi commercial project.
