Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting 2007

Shui On Land's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) were held at Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong on 8 June 2007 (Friday).

During the AGM, the current board members were re-elected through an official polling process by shareholders. End-of-year resolutions of the Company were also stated, seconded and then polled for. The EGM following the AGM was reserved for shareholders only. A new 'Share Options Scheme' was proposed and successfully passed through yet another voting process. The results for all the polls during the AGM and EGM were published in the South China Morning Post and Hong Kong Economic Times on 11 June 2007 (Monday).

After two events, Mr. Lo had a fruitful discussion with shareholders and fellows from the media where he shared with them his business plans and the latest developments of SOL.

Kick-starting the "Chongqing Tiandi" Project

image001.gifOn 10 June 2007 (Sunday), the groundbreaking ceremony of the "Chongqing Tiandi" Project was held at the heart of the Hualongqiao area in Chongqing. Mayor of Chongqing, Operating Vice-Mayor of Chongqing, Vice-Mayor of Chongqing and Mr. Vincent Lo officiated the ceremony in attendance of a large number of major officials from the government, as well as over 50 reporters from Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan and Hong Kong.

The "Chongqing Tiandi" Project is situated in the center of the Company's redevelopment project in Chongqing, between Jialin Road and Jiabin Road. The project will have a blend of eastern and western cultures as well as old and new characteristics, with focuses on catering, entertainment, leisure, retail and hotels.

During Mr. Lo's speech at the ceremony and the press conference afterwards, he personally praised "the city's rapid economic and social development". In hopes that "Chongqing Tiandi" would be a highlight for the city's tourism and service industries, he also stated that "ChongQing Tiandi" was a gift Shui On would like to dedicate to Chongqing's economic development.
