Shui On Land Announces First Annual Results after Listing

On April 20th, Shui On Land Limited held a press conference in Hongkong, announcing its 2006 annual results after its listing last year. First results indicate that profit attributable to shareholders amounted to RMB 1,536 million, exceeded IPO profit forecast by 5.9%.

As at December 31st 2006, Shui On Land’s landbank Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan and Hangzhou totaled 8.4 million square meters. This landbank will be sufficient for the Company’s development plans for the next 8 years. The company continued to seek opportunities in other parts of the Chinese Mainland: it entered into a framework agreement with the Kunming Municipal Government to research and determine the feasibility in redeveloping the Caohai district as a mixed-used development with entertainment, cultural, live/work and other facilities; it accepted the invitation of Shui On Company Limited to participate in the development of Dalian Software Park Phase 2.

Rui Hong Xin Cheng Wins the Award of “National Model Commercial Community”

Rui Hong Xin Cheng Commercial Community was awarded “National Model Commercial Community” by the Ministry of Commerce recently. A grand opening ceremony was held in the Rui Hong Life Square on April 28th.

The Ministry of Commerce has carried out selection work around the country according to the Opinions of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China on Strengthening and Improving the Community Service Work. After several rounds of selection and online notification, Rui Hong Xin Cheng stood out among many commercial communities in China with a brand-new business image and high quality services. It passed the appraisal and acceptance of the Ministry of Commerce and was selected as one of the three “National Model Commercial Community” in Shanghai.

Rui Hong Lifestyle Mall is a large regional shopping mall in the Hongkou District which integrates shopping, entertainment, catering and leisure facilities in the Rui Hong Xin Cheng Commercial Community. With a total floor space of 32,000 square meters, the square has over 30 shops providing various services to about 100,000 residents within 2 kilometers.
