Shui On Land Limited donated 10 million yuan to develop teenager education in Wuhan

On December 12, Wuhan Shui On Tiandi Property Development Company Limited donated 10 million yuan to Youth and Children's Palace of Wuhan in the hope of building a teenager development center and promoting the development of education in Wuhan. The donating ceremony was held in the newly built Wuhan Tiandi Sales Center. Mr. Vincent Lo, Chairman & CEO of Shui On Land Limited, and Mr. Louis Wong, Managing Director of Shui On Land Limted attended the ceremony. Also attended the ceremony were top officials of Wuhan Municipal Government, including Mr. Li Xiansheng, Mayor of Wuhan, Mr. Yin Weizhen, Deputy Mayor of Wuhan and Mr. Wang Yong, Assistant Mayor.

It is reported that the teenager development center will cover an area of 5700 square meters and will be the first professional training center in China dedicated to cultivating all-round qualities of teenagers. It is not only a place where teenagers can have fun, but also a class for developing innovation capabilities. It is the hope of Shui On Land Limited that this fund will be fully used to build this project for public good so as to attract more attention to talent development and benefit the large majority of teenagers. 

"Venture Capital Service Park of Shanghai Yangpu Knowledge Innovation Zone" officially settled down in KIC

"Venture Capital Service Park of Shanghai Yangpu Knowledge Innovation Zone", jointly founded by the People's Government of Yangpu District and Shanghai Venture Capital Co. Ltd, was inaugurated in Knowledge and Innovation Community(KIC) on December 10. This is a new strategic move made by Shui On Land Limited after it had established strategic cooperation with Oracle and Cisco in building a world-class digitalized community.

Venture Investment Service Park is expected to raise 3 billion yuan of venture capital in three years and provide financial support to college students who want to start their own businesses and start-up science and technological enterprises. The establishment of Venture Investment Service Park marked that "KIC" would develop itself into a pool of venture capital in Yangpu, and even in Shanghai, in the hope of facilitating the development of hi-tech enterprises by offering financing and related services.

The New Year lighting ceremony on the evening of December 2nd marked the beginning of the year-end festive season. The entire Xintiandi has been magically turned into a sparkling and cozy "living room," adorned with a huge and warm fireplace between the Shikumen Open House and Yaoyang Tea House; a larger-than-life book shelf is fixed on the glass wall of South Block; a huge armchair and a floor lamp are placed in the South Block Piazza, making people feel as if they were in a giant world. As soon as the lighting device was turned on, a 14-meter-high Christmas tree got immersed in warm light. The beautiful fireworks turned the whole Xintiandi into a Christmas wonderland.

On New Year's Eve, a grand 2007 Xintiandi Countdown Party, with "Magnolia blossoming in Xintiandi" as its theme, will bring the gala event to its climax. A number of giant ring lights on both sides of the stage will imitate the blossoming of magnolia flowers and the lake will be decorated with magnolia in full bloom. Famous singers Lee-Hom Wang and Zhou Bichang will bring down the roof with their popular songs. As the countdown begins, over 7000 spectators on the site will herald the arrival of 2007 in the dazzling fireworks display.
