Rui Hong Xin Cheng Phase II and KIC Shine at Exhibition
Rui Hong Xin Cheng (Rainbow City) and Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) stole the show during the 19th Shanghai Real Estate Exhibition, which took place from 9th to 12th June.
Blocks 15 and 16, the last two residential towers in Rainbow City Phase II featuring 274 units, were launched at the exhibition. As Shui On Land’s flagship project in Hongkou district, Rainbow City received accolade for its comprehensive amenities, including a deluxe clubhouse, as well as quality property management. It is also served by a metro station located under Phase II. These qualities ensured the development attracted plenty of attention during the exhibition. More than 3,000 people toured the show flat, and 6,000 brochures were distributed; many visitors likewise expressed their interest in the development. With its strong brand reputation and integrated commercial facilities, Rainbow City Phases I and II captivate both expatriates and local executives alike.
A younger crowd clustered round the KIC booth, impressed perhaps by KIC’s design, which is an inspiration of the Silicon Valley and Paris’ Left Bank, as well as the development’s positioning as an entrepreneurs’ paradise. All colleagues in the Sales and Marketing Department devoted all their energy and efforts to the busy days. However, recognition from the public is worth anything.

Artistic Fever at Xintiandi
The much anticipated four-member ‘Urban Dream Capsule’ (UDC) entered their glass capsule on 20th June, where they would remain for 12 days. The 35°C heat did not deter onlookers as Xintiandi was packed with spectators hoping to catch a glimpse of the performance. Even though one member of the UDC had to pull out due to illness, his absence did not dull the troupe’s power to entertain. The three Australians greeted onlookers in Putonghua, which bridged the language gap between the UDC and the locals. The three men’s amusing gestures and body language sent the whole crowd into fits of laughter.
At the launch ceremony, Chairman and CEO of Shui On Land, Mr. Vincent H. S. Lo, wished the UDC good luck, while Mr. Wilfred Wong, Vice-Chairman and COO of Shui On Land, presented gifts to the performers. Mr. Wong officially launched the 12-day performance by securing the door of the glass capsule with a traditional Chinese lock. This was the UDC’s first show in the Chinese Mainland. Befitting Xintiandi’s unique ambience, the glass capsule’s decoration and the performers’ costumes were a fusion of East and West. They will hold a grand exit ceremony on July 1st. Meanwhile, as “The Lion King” will be performed for the first time in Asia at the Shanghai Grand Theatre on 18th July, Corporate Avenue hosted “The music of the wilderness — The Lion King” on 23rd June to introduce the internationally renowned Broadway show to the tenants of Xintiandi, Cooperate Avenue and Shui On Plaza. Not only did they enjoy the show’s picturesque scenes, but they also had a chance to win a special souvenir.
