“Bee Gees -- How Deep Is Your Love”
Shanghai Xintiandi has launched the “Bee Gees -- How Deep Is Your Love” campaign in the run-up to a concert by Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb in the city in May. In the theme of love and music, the campaign also aims to promote international music in Shanghai.
Winner of seven Grammy awards, the Bee Gees was immensely popular in Britain during the sixties. Their songs have been re-performed over 6,000 times by both Chinese and Western singers alike, including Celine Dion, Alan Tam, and Jacky Cheung. A juke box playing the Bee Gees’ classic love songs was placed in Xintiandi’s South Block in March to create an even more romantic atmosphere. Shui On is planning two more activities in April that will immerse you in the world of Bee Gees: an 80’s style Bee Gees party next to the Taipingqiao lake; and Exhibition on the development of British music and culture at the Xintiandi South Block.
In other news, a charity online auction featuring celebrity paraphernalia will end on 9 April, and proceeds will be donated to UNICEF. Please come to join in this meaningful event!
