The Xintiandi 2005 Autumn/Winter Fashion Show

Oct4-1.jpgThe Xintiandi 2005 Autumn/Winner Fashion Show themed 'cutting-edge fashion' was held in the South Block Piazza on October 27. The show promoting Xintiandi's unique position as an entertainment and fashion center was attended by more than 300 socialites and celebrities as well as journalists from more than 60 media outlets.

The South Block was transformed into an impressive catwalk featuring Shikumen. The show started with top models wearing the latest trends from brands located in Xintiandi including BabyJane, FCUK, Fornarina, http://www.izzue.com and Nine West. A trend in vintage accessories and the colors red, black and dark amethyst were the shining stars of the show.

Chongqing Shui On Tiandi Property Development Donates RMB10 Million to Support Chongqing's Medical Emergency Assistant Service

action_villa01.jpgOct 25, Chongqing Shui On Tiandi Property Development Co. Ltd donated RMB10 million to the Chongqing Municipal People's Government to establish a new foundation focused on providing local medical emergency assistance.

During the donation ceremony, Mr. Lo shared the story of how Shui On employees were able to help Chongqing resident, Ms. Jin Yan, and emphasized the power of "helping each other", hoping this donation will inspire others to support the government in providing medical assistance services to people in need. Mr. Xie Xiaojun, Vice Major of Chongqing, acknowledged Shui On's contribution to Chongqing's development on behalf of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government.

The beneficiaries of the foundation include not only Chongqing citizens but also others such as temporary residents and tourists.

 

A Strategic Alliance between Shui On Land and Oracle China to Develop the First Digitized Community in Shanghai

Oct 15, a strategic alliance between Shui On Land Limited and Oracle China, the world's largest enterprise software company, was formed to transform Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) into a leading technology development center and 'digitized' community.

During the MoU signing ceremony, Mr. Vincent H.S. Lo and Mr. Charles Phillips, president of Oracle, jointly unveiled the 'Gate to Innovation & Knowledge'. Mr. Lo said that the partnership would deliver advanced technology and strategic value to KIC. After the ceremony, many guests and media toured KIC's sales office, showrooms, the Jiangwan Stadium and the Hub.

The digital community technologies from Oracle will be implemented over time at KIC. Practical benefits for KIC tenants include "smart" buildings, integrated home networks and state-of-art property management and communication systems, distance learning and electronic money transactions.

Mr. Vincent H.S. Lo Receives 'Golden Key' to Chongqing and 'Yanhuang Award' in Chengdu

Oct1-1.jpg Oct 14, Mr. Huang Qifan, the Executive Deputy Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal Government, met with Mr. Vincent H.S. Lo at the '2005 Asia Pacific Cities Summit'. During this meeting, Mr. Huang praised Shui On Land's contribution to the redevelopment of the Hualongqiao area and presented Mr. Lo with a 'Golden Key' to Chongqing.

Oct1-2.jpgOct 19, 'The Western Region Talent Training Program Evaluation Conference' and the 'Yanhuang Awards Ceremony' were held in Chengdu. The General Director of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Wan Xueyuan, presented the 'Yanhuang Awards' to Mr. Lo who has been supporting the training program. This honor was awarded in China for the first time and aims to promote international exchange, cooperation and training of specialized personnel. The 'Yanhuang Award' is an annual award, set up by the China International Talent Exchange Foundation, China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, Beijing-Hong Kong Exchange of Personnel Centre Ltd.
