On Aug 5, the Grade-A commercial complex Corporate Avenue hosted a cocktail party themed 'A Star is Born'. Despite Typhoon Masta, the glittering event attracted a gathering of more than 300 Shanghai socialites and celebrities and 90 reporters.

The cocktail party reflected Corporate Avenue's position as a glowing symbol of the city's upscale fashion and lifestyle trends.

At a 'Raising the Star' lighting ceremony, our senior management - Mr. Tim Addison, Mr. Mike Hung and Mr. Lawrence Wu - together with celebrities including Michael Wong and Qi Qi, jointly switched on "the Star".

Dazzling performance followed the ceremony, featuring modern dance and a Yoga demonstration by celebrity Yoga Instructor, Duncan (who counts Madonna among his clientele). A breathtaking flying trapeze dance was also performed for the first time in the lobby of a grade-A office building in China!

'Wise Man Takes All', co-sponsored by Shui On Land, attracted more than 10,000 entries for the competition. The first phase of screening the business plans and the second phase of interviews in Chongqing, Wuhan, Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai were successfully completed. The competition will soon proceed to the third phase, when the competition will be aired in a TV reality-show. The 16 finalists will be announced at the end of August and the show will run for 13 weeks from September 17. The winner, who will have survived 12 rounds of eliminations, will be rewarded RMB 1 million as a start-up fund for their business plan.
