The Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) is close to over 14 neighboring major universities and colleges in Yangpu District of Shanghai. Covering 840,000 sq.m. (84 hectares) of land, this city-core development aims to create an environment that fosters technological innovation and entrepreneurship similar to that of Silicon Valley in the United States and to provide "live-work" accommodation inspired by the Left Bank in Paris.
