Retail space at Foshan Lingnan Tiandi Phase 1 fully opens

Retail space at Foshan Lingnan Tiandi Phase 1 was opened in full swing amid the National Day holidays. By giving a bare and massive construction site a makeover, this new initiative makes full use of the interim period before full scale construction, introduces a trial run, by and large, enables us to receive more revenues. These interim retail structure facilities though lasting for about three years are carefully planned and in high quality. Customer numbers have grown considerably since its opening. Our new development now becomes one of the definite shopping spots in the district.

This development in a total gross floor area of 4,000 sq.m. was just completed in a few months from scratch. Two-storey 42 shops in green roof incorporating the traditional Lingnan style and modern elements. Spruced-up retailers typically are sports wear shops and chain operations contrasting with the small neighbouring individual shops. Massive open area at the back has been converted into a greener space and 400 car parks. Phase 1 has been fully rented with upgraded retail environment, and our rentals are almost double as those budget shops nearby. Along the prosperous Zumiao Road, interim retail space at Phase 2 will have a total gross floor area of about 6,000 sq.m. and 1,000 car parks. Many brands have intended to run businesses in Phase 2.

Show flats of KIC Village launched

The opening of five show flats of low density courtyard apartments in KIC Village Phase 2 in Shanghai during the National Day holidays has attracted thousands of visitors. This quality final batch is made up of one- to four-bedroom units with areas ranging from 60 to 180 sq.m. Units will be well-furnished with top quality materials. Equipped with a deluxe clubhouse of 3,000 sq.m., the development will definitely draw great market attention when it launches for sales.

Beneficence

A dedicated team of Seagull Club volunteers sent forth to a rural primary school in Anhui Province for its third teaching activity during the National Day holidays. They helped students to develop self-learning capabilities through a series of programmes. On 3 October night, volunteers shared with some 100 students, teachers and local citizens the mooncakes donated by SOL colleagues, danced and sang together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. Miles apart, the Seagull Club in Chongqing also set aside fund to repair/replace old/broken desks, chairs, windows and renovate toilet facilities in a local rural primary school together with the government. The project was completed on 10 October which gives the school a facelift.
