Sharing Session with the Shareholders after the EGM

On 21 January, Shui On Land Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) was held at Shui On Centre in Hong Kong. The meeting was chaired by Chairman Mr. Vincent Lo. All resolutions were passed and poll results were announced on the same day.

After the meeting, Mr. Vincent Lo conducted a face-to-face conversation with the shareholders and shared with them the latest business updates and future development of the Company, and also addressed their questions.

SOL wins accolade in The Asset Corporate Governance Awards 2008

On 15 January 2009, the company has been awarded an honourable mention as one of the best companies in Hong Kong, in terms of Corporate Governance in The Asset Magazine’s annual Best Corporate Governance Awards.

The Asset is a magazine covering financial business in Asia, which organises the Best Corporate Governance Awards annually to recognise and acknowledge companies who have taken corporate governance seriously to their business and performed the best in Asia. This year the award drew wide participation from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Korea and other Asian regions. Its assessment is based on the rating of pre-set questionnaire survey, voting of institutional investors and the interviews with the senior executives of the participating companies in the areas of corporate governance, board structure / composition, company transparency, investors relations, corporate social responsibility and the annual results in complying with best practises.
