Shui On Land’s first large-scale, “City-centre master-planned community” project, the Taipingqiao project is in Huangpu Discount in Shanghai. Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP (SOM) is the masterplan consultant of this landmark project which began development in 1996. With a planned total gross floor area of 1,589,423 sq.m., the project comprises several main components, which serve an extensive range of functions: historical redevelopment zone is in the west of Shanghai Xintiandi; Grade-A office building Corporate Avenue in the north; Lakeville, a premium residential project, in the south; mixed-use shopping and entertainment business centre in the east, and an artificial lake and greeneries at the centre of Shanghai Xintiandi.

On July 5, 2018, Shui On Development (Holding) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, invested in partnership with CPIC Life and YongYe (with 25%, 70% and 5% interests, respectively), successfully won the three land parcels numbered 123, 124 and 132, located in the vicinity of Middle Huaihai Road, Huangpu, Shanghai.
At present, Shanghai Ruiyongjing Real Estate Development co., LTD., the main developer of the land parcelS, has been established. Shui On Development (Holding) Limited, China Pacific life insurance and yongye group hold 25%, 70% and 5% shares respectively.
To the future, the development of this land will form a comprehensive development project of business, office and residence with the completed properties developed by the Company in Taipingqiao area. The project will be a new chapter in Shui On Land’s sustained endeavours of over twenty years contributing to the Taipingqiao Development, and will add further vibrance to Shanghai’s continued urban renewal effort.
